The Agriculture Future of America Leaders
Conference will be held Nov. 6-9, 2014 in Kansas City, MO. Student sponsorship
includes registration, lodging and most meals. Students selected for
sponsorship would be responsible for paying for their own transportation costs

Kalu Yala Internship/Independent Study Abroad in Panama
Kalu Yala is a sustainable community that will be built in the mountains about 45 minutes outside Panama City, Panama. Kalu Yala Entrepreneurial Internship programs take place in 3 venues: creating the town's foundation in Kalu Yala; creating relationships in the neighboring town of San Miguel; and working on business logistics in Panama City.
Programs include Biology based in Kalu Yala, Business Development and Entrepreneurship based in Panama City, Community Outreach and Education based in San Miguel, Farm to Table Culinary Arts based in Kalu Yala, Health and Wellness based in San Miguel, Organic Agriculture and Animal Science based in Kalu Yala, and Outdoor Recreation based in Kalu Yala. Interns are encouraged to come up with and implement their own semester project. Some interns choose to do solo projects while others work in groups to make their dream a reality. Along the way, our Program Directors are always happy to help them plan and lend a helping hand.

Liberty Power Bright Horizon Scholarship
The Liberty Power Bright Horizon Scholarship awards $20,000 each year to college students studying STEM that have an interest in pursuing a career in energy and/or the environment. The scholarship is collaboration between Liberty Power and the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) Foundation. A total of $20,000 will be awarded in the form of four scholarships valued at $10,000, $5,000, $3,000 and $2,000.

Darling “Management Trainee” Development Program (MTDP)
This Management “trainee” position will require the successful completion of all training modules in the MTDP. These modules include training in Customer Service Operations, Plant Operations, Sales, and Administration – and the training program is approximately 8 months in length. Upon successful completion of the MTDP the “trainee” may be promoted to a full-time facility position - to be determined by company need and trainee interest (and then assigned to a facility from a previously agreed upon geographical area.)
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree with a major in the Agriculture disclipline (and a 3.0 GPA or better)
- Ability to relocate after successful completion of the “Management Trainee” Program
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Work and contribute in a team environment
