Haile Farmers Market intern position
We are seeking a Market Intern (MI) to oversee market operations with a minimum one-year
commitment. The Farmers Market Intern will be responsible for assorted aspects of market
operations during the season under the direction of the market coordinator.
General Requirements
● Available during all market hours throughout the season. (Every Saturday year round.)
● Willing and able to work outside in all weather conditions.
● Able to safely lift and carry at least 50 pounds
● Ability to work independently as well as independently under the HFM Market
Coordinator and HFM Board of Directors
● Ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic advocate of the local food movement and North
Florida agriculture
● MI must be reliable, assertive, self-motivated and have good communication and
customer service skills.
This is a year round independent contractor position that is part-time, requiring a minimum
one-year commitment starting September 1, 2019. We are looking for an intern who can commit
to 5-7 hours each week. Payment is in the form of a $250 monthly stipend with the possibility of
bonuses.

Fall interns will be heavily involved in assisting with many aspects of NASDA’s trade promotion activities, and will get the chance to travel to NASDA’s American Food & Beverage trade show in Miami, Florida in September!
NASDA, headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, is looking for students interested in food marketing, international trade, and export market development. Applicants should be classified as a sophomore or greater by their academic institution and have excellent written and oral communication skills.

2019-2020 Outreach Internship with Working Food
The Outreach Intern will be responsible for effective and creative
communication campaigns that increase engagement with our audience and
members. They will work alongside staff to develop and implement social
media campaigns, online and print communications, event promotions, and
event tabling. Through narrative, videos, photos, in-person
interactions, and blogging, the Outreach Intern will help tell the story

● Experience developing and maintaining effective outreach and social media campaigns, proficient with Facebook, Instagram and other online platforms
● Friendly, flexible, easy-going in a dynamic work environment
● Attention to detail and ability to work as a team member with minimal supervision
● Ability to organize details, set priorities, and meet deadlines
● Must have own transportation, phone, computer and any specialized equipment and software
● Offsite/remote working is acceptable with periodic attendance of weekly staff meetings to connect with staff, and visits to off site locations to capture content
