This retreat is a nationally acclaimed program conducted in over 40 universities in the US. Students who undertake the retreat, have found immense benefits in terms of increased energy and focus and reduced stress which directly translates to better performance in the university.
We are offering the retreat this semester with an 80% scholarship to all UF students.

AFA Collegiate Connection
Agriculture Future of America (AFA) will host two programs on the East Coast in 2020.
In July, we're headed to Raleigh, North Carolina, for the AFA Crop Science Institute. Students will interact with crop sector leaders, explore area businesses and participate in training that will enhance their preparation to enter a career in agriculture.
In September, we will be in Washington, D.C., for the AFA Policy Institute. This program will connect students to their legislative representatives and the policy process.
Applications for the AFA Crop Science Institute and AFA Policy Institute are due April 8. We hope to see your student's applications soon!

Improve your campus with an innovative idea
Deloitte Consulting is kicking off StartUp UF this Spring! StartUp UF is a competition that will allow students to propose a new technology-related solution to improve campus. Through the course of two days, students will work on developing the pitch for their technology solution with the help of Deloitte professionals with experience in start-up concepts and bringing new products to market. StartUp UF will give students the opportunity to learn start-up concepts while networking with Deloitte leadership.
Don’t have an idea? Students who want to participate can sign up with an idea or without an idea! Student who do not submit an idea will be placed into teams and paired with students that did submit an approved idea. Additionally, students can sign up as teams or sign up as an individual. Students that sign up as an individual will be placed into teams.

UCB is looking for a science-driven, upper-level undergraduate or graduate student to intern with Global Medical Writing from May 18th through August 14th, 2020 (flexible dates/hours dependent upon school or work schedules). Students must have an interest in clinical research, regulatory writing, quality control, neuroscience, immunology, statistics, or medicine. Global Medical Writing contributes to the global clinical development of innovative medicines for the treatment of patients with severe diseases by delivering high-quality, scientifically-sound, and timely submission-related documents. If you are interested in medicine, clinical research, and/or regulatory submission writing, an internship with UCB will give you meaningful insights into the process of obtaining drug and biologic approval from regulatory agencies. The University Scholars Program is a good way to gain research experience and to earn a little money in the process. Every year, CALS receives 20 spots from the University. Although the deadline for applications was Friday February 7, we only have 15 applications. We will extend our deadline for the 2020-2021 University Scholars Program applications to Wednesday February 26 so that we might fill the remaining spots we have available. To be eligible to apply, you must not graduate before the spring 2021 term. Here is a link to the application: https://cals.ufl.edu/getinvolved/honors/universityscholars/. B.I.G. Summer 2020 at UCLA - Final Deadline 3/1/20
This
8-week program (June 22 - August 14, 2020) combines workshops in big data
analysis with research experiences in diverse areas of quantitative and
computational biosciences. Supported by grants from NSF, NIH, and the
University of California we can again provide up to 50 student fellowships and
on-campus housing. Previous participants raved about the skills acquired, their
research experience, the academic community and network.
Criteria
for admission are a passion for biological or biomedical research, some
background in quantitative reasoning, math, stats or equivalent, and an
interest to contribute to the diversity and inclusive climate of the UCLA
academic research community. Members of underrepresented groups are
particularly encouraged to apply. We would also like to emphasize that students
may bring their research projects and thus function as catalysts for
collaborations between their primary research faculty (at their own
institution) and specific UCLA faculty.
