Continental is looking to immediately fill a position for a packaging engineer.

About Continental : The Powertrain division combines innovative and efficient system solutions for the powertrains of today and tomorrow. In line with the central theme of clean power, the products make driving more environmentally compatible and cost-efficient, while also enhancing comfort, convenience and driving enjoyment.

Provide the necessary packaging engineering skills to support the company in achieving optimal levels of safety, quality, productivity and delivery to assure internal and external customer satisfaction.

Essential Functions:
• Design and develop packaging materials, solutions and processes to meet product and marketing requirements, customer needs and manufacturing capabilities.
• Responsible for all approvals and improvements of supplier packaging during SCR
• Drive continuous improvement on packaging designs (cost, quality, density, stack ability) and standardization on customer & supplier side
• Standardization of sizes & variants of all packaging materials (cardboard, totes, pallets, etc.)
• Planning and review of total cost of packaging material (budget planning)
• Key contact and support for all topics regarding packaging for plant Seguin
• Entry point for packaging topics for BU, NPM PUR & SCMA
• Supplier management of packaging suppliers

Additional Functions:

• Maintain awareness of trends and technologies at the forefront of packaging.
• Work with cross functional teams and provide packaging engineering/manufacturing expertise to help commercialize new products within cost/time targets.
• Work with packaging suppliers and vendors to develop packaging solutions.
• Additional mechanical design work as necessary

*Job Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:
• Strong analytical and problem¬ solving skills
• Thorough knowledge of shipping guidelines, quality, and inventory warehousing standards.
• Bachelor of Science in Packaging, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering is required.
• Must be able to pass criminal and drug background screening

OU4 Engineering Conference application

Out for Undergraduate's Engineering Conference is looking for more engineering students in biology-related fields! This year’s O4U Engineering Conference will be held at Boston Scientific in Minneapolis, Minnesota from September 27th to September 29th.

The final deadline to apply is now Sunday 6/23 at 11:59PM EST.

If you're not familiar with Out for Undergrad (O4U) or the O4U Engineering Conference, you can learn more about it on the website here: https://www.outforundergrad.org/. To keep it short and sweet, it is a weekend-long professional development conference for high achieving, high potential LGBTQ+ undergraduate students who are studying engineering or interested in going into engineering.

Students are admitted to attend the conference on a rolling basis. Flights and hotels are covered entirely by O4U, so if students are admitted from your college/university, they will only have to pay the $90 registration fee. We also offer fee waivers, discounts, and payment plans to students who are not able to afford the registration fee.

The Josephine West Memorial Service Scholarship provides an annual grant of $1,000 to an outstanding undergraduate, female student at the University of Florida. It was established by the Office of Student Affairs in 1985 after her untimely passing, in memory of her fine contributions to the University. This $1,000 scholarship provides support to a student who reflects the values for which Josephine West stood: academic excellence, service to others and a love of learning.

To be considered, applicants must comply with all the following requirements:
· Undergraduate, Enrolled full time (in the fall)
· Minimum 3.0 GPA
· Female
· Significant service to UF and to fellow students.

Classic Turf Farm Manager position

Classic Turf has an exciting opportunity in our Belle Glade operation and looking for a steadfast Farm Manager to oversee 4 farm locations with 4 direct reports. In this role, you would oversee the daily assessment of crops and fields in production using a keen eye for fertility needs, pest control and weed management. In addition, you would coordinate sales calls, truck drivers and harvesting activities while making good business decisions on crops, fields and labor.

We are seeking a Farm Manager with a background in Turf whom is bilingual. The experience in sod (agronomy, weed identification, etc) is a higher priority than Farm Management for the individuals who may have less experience.
