Nursery manager needed to support field supervisors and work with office personnel in day-to-day operations of wholesale nursery and landscaping company.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Extensive technical and practical tropical plant and tree knowledge.
- Working knowledge of soil amendments, chemical applications, fertilization and weed control.
- Experience with irrigation systems.
- Ability to research plant material, nursery supplies, and establish vendor relationships throughout Florida.
- Familiarity with nursery and landscaping equipment.
- Understanding of nursery inventory systems.
- Skill to coordinate plant material for landscape projects from inception to conclusion.
- Sense of urgency and importance of timing. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Motivating leadership skills to manage others.
- Responsible attitude toward workplace safety.
- Valid driver license and good driving record.
- Fluency in Spanish and English is a strong plus.
