Background Qualifications:
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must be 21 years or older
- Pursuing bachelor’s degree or graduate with a bachelor’s degree in an agriculture field
- At least four (4) verifiable years’ experience in operating heavy equipment including family farm or past farm job references.
- Background in Horticulture- caring for plants in field or greenhouse
- Meets Kamman’s Farms eligibility requirements
Requirements- Duties:
- While performing this job, employee must be able to stand, walk, and/or drive for hours at a time, and lift up to 60 lbs. Employees will be exposed to heat, cold, wind, rain, and other adverse weather conditions
- Cultivating and preparing soil for planting
- Closely monitor field for insects and plant diseases
- Communicate to employers on findings, advise on potential needs for field treatment
- Manage crews and hand labor employees
- Make hands on decisions and think on your feet
- Operate and manage packing facilities
- Assist with quality check inspection of packed fruit
