Buffalo Horticulture - Entry Level Sales Position

 Entry level sales position in the horticulture industry. Position is with a manufacturer’s rep agency that has been in the industry since 1972. Duties to include sales responsibility on behalf of manufacturers represented by Buffalo Horticulture Sales Company in FL, GA, AL & TN.

•  Education/Experience: Business or Horticulture degree other related field.  
• Computer Skills: Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and ability to use the internet. 
• Duties will include calling on established customers and potential customers, including wholesale distributors, commercial greenhouses, wholesale nurseries, independent garden centers, re-wholesale yards, and independent hardware dealers. Informing distributor management of program/pricing changes, product updates and presentations at sales meetings. Working with distributor reps with training and calling on customers on their behalf. 
• Products include shade cloth, ground cover, landscape fabric, greenhouse film, landscape mulch, retail and commercial potting soils and more. 
• Average 10-15 days of overnight travel per month. This includes trade shows, distributor shows, grower expos and conferences.
• Preference is for candidate to live or re-locate to central Florida 
• Ideal candidate will be self motivated, have ability to follow direction, able to think quickly and possess good communication & people skills. 
• In house training will be provided by BHSC and additional product training will be provided at key manufacturer’s locations.
