UF McNair Scholars Program - Opportunity for Outstanding Undergraduates Interested in Pursuing a Ph.D.

The UF Ronald E. McNair Scholars Program is currently seeking talented undergraduates to apply for the 2015-2016 cohort. Funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Education, our program prepares students for doctoral studies through involvement in research and other scholarly activities and encourages their entrance into teaching and research careers. McNair Scholars are students with strong academic potential who are either first-generation college students with financial need or members of a group that is traditionally underrepresented in graduate education. There are currently 152 McNair programs throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico.

Our program is open to students in all fields; however we are especially recruiting students in science, technology, engineering and math disciplines to help meet the growing national need for STEM talent at all levels. You can see the list of current scholars and mentors here: http://mcnair.aa.ufl.edu/scholars.aspx.
