The UF Field & Fork Farm and Gardens are seeking interns! There are federal work study, volunteer, and 1-3 credit options available. Typically interns spend 4-10 hours a week with the program.
Interns will gain practical, hands-on experience in many of the primary categories of farming and gardening: weed management, soil care, plant health, water management, planting, harvesting, and post-harvest handling.
Field & Fork interns will work with the manager to do a wide spectrum of tasks that are integral to starting and running a working farm as well as maintaining a large existing garden. Tasks vary weekly and can be tailored to each intern's learning goals. To apply, send a letter of interest, resume or statement of experience, and work schedule availability to Claudie Babineaux (cbabineaux@ufl.edu). Someone from the Field & Fork program will contact you via email with additional application materials/interview schedule.
Scholarships, awards, internships, meetings and other opportunities for BE and AOM students in the UF-ABE Department.
