Sales/ Branch Manager Job Opportunity

Established premier agricultural irrigation contractor and wholesaler, seeks a branch manager for the Central Florida area (Winter Haven). The right individual would be responsible for acquiring and managing projects throughout Florida and the South Eastern United States.

Requirements:
Ability to generate sales leads through local growers, trade shows, farmer associations, or word of mouth.
Preliminary irrigation designs and farm layout.
Convert those leads into job proposals and contracts.
Ability to plan, initiate, and effectively manage large irrigation projects, once awarded.
Wholesale inventory management.

Skills:
Experience in the agricultural industry
Understanding of hydraulics and water flows
Strong project management
Good problem-solving skills
Good communication skills relating to customers, fellow team members and management

2018 Regenerative Medicine Postbaccalaureate Research Opportunities-Deadline 5/21

The SRF Postbaccalaureate Fellowship Program offers undergraduate students the opportunity to conduct biomedical research to combat diseases of aging, such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease. Like SRF’s Summer Scholars Program, the goal of the Postbaccalaureate Fellowship Program will be to prepare participants for a career in regenerative medicine research. Under the guidance of a scientific mentor, each Fellow will take control of his or her own research project. Research projects offered will vary from year to year. Check the SRF Postbaccalaureate Fellowship Program homepage for the precise projects available this year. Training will also include writing assignments that will improve each Fellow’s ability to generate grant proposals, abstracts, and other scientific reports.

Samuel Proctor Oral History Program - Internships, Seminar

Summer B 2018, July 2 - August 10 AMH 3593: Introduction to Oral History

SPOHP offers semester -long academic internships as well as a  summer seminar, available to graduate andundergraduate students, as introductions to the field of oralhistory.Students will
conduct oral  history interviews with current and past farmworkers.
