The Location Compliance Manager will report to the General Manager.
Food Safety Duties:
Organize and participate in a minimum of 2 mock recalls per year.
Organize and submit quarterly desk audits
Daily paperwork organization and filing
Weekly paperwork review (to be sent to Area Compliance Manager each week)
SQF program training
Weekly plant walk-through (notes/photos sent to ACM and discussed with local management)
Maintain location food safety and food quality programs, registers, and corresponding materials (i.e. organizational charts, procedures, Letter of Guarantee, Certificates of Insurance, etc.)
Perform quality checks on nest run eggs and/or finished product
Over-see completion of all CARs and supporting documentation to be submitted to ACM.
SQF Practitioner Certificate and HACCP training
Completing Complaint Investigation Forms and logging all customer complaints
Assist GM with annual verification and validation
Undergo training and achieve certification to be a Certified Food Manager (FL locations only)
Salmonella Prevention/FDA Compliance Duties:
Maintain SE Prevention Plan
Organize and oversee timely collection of drag swabs
Ensure proper filing/spreadsheet entries of SE test results and NPIP’s for all flocks
Weekly SE Plan paperwork organization and review
Product area inspections to insure compliance with program
Animal Welfare Duties:
Maintain Animal Husbandry/UEP Plan
Regular review of UEP paperwork/flock books
Ensure all required training is completed on company employees and contract service crews
Safety Duties:
Coordinate/conduct safety training (may be delegated to managers/supervisors)
Coordinate all reports for corporate (send to Area Compliance Manager for
review and submission)
Monthly walk-through of plant, pullet houses, layers houses, and truck shop
(whichever may be applicable) – Internal Safety Audit
Maintenance of OSHA logs (injuries and illnesses)
Accident investigations and reporting (under supervision of ACM)
Maintenance of MSDS books
Complete Monthly Safety Summary and submit to Jackson
Creating/maintaining site specific safety programs
Submitting Tier II filing information to ACM each year for submission to the state
Emergency Response Commission
Environmental Duties:
Awareness and understanding of all permits and reporting requirements (i.e.
public water systems, diesel storage tanks, wastewater monitoring well sampling)
Maintaining copies of all current permits and placards
Ensure proper testing has performed in accordance with permit requirements
Ensure all reports are filed with the corresponding agency in a timely manner
(actual filing of the reports may be handled by GM or ACM)
