Each year, the Florida Outdoor Writers Association awards up to three scholarships of $1000 to college students as a way to encourage them to consider careers in writing, photography or video media related to the outdoors.
Note the deadline for this year’s competition is June 14, 2021 at 3pm EST. Applicants need to submit:
- an essay of between 500-750 words;
- a resume; and
- a letter of endorsement from a faculty adviser.
