The Florida Cooperative Extension is the outreach component of UF/IFAS. Extension faculty partners with communities to provide quality, relevant education and research-based expertise to foster healthy people, a healthy environment, and a healthy economy. Extension does this work through its 67 county offices. Interns will be asked to help plan educational events and teach in one of these offices under the supervision of one of our county faculty for an 8-week period.
Interns will be paid $560 per week ($14 per hour) and will work under the supervision of a county Extension Agent. This internship program will place a priority on students who have not previously held a research or extension position.
To see all the internship openings and apply, visit http://extadmin.ifas.ufl.edu/administration/internships/. Questions about the 2019 summer Extension internship program can be addressed by calling (352) 273-3599 or by e-mail to Keith Gouin at keithg@ufl.edu.
