Some of the responsibilities are feeding cattle pastures in the mornings per the weekly assigned feed schedule and relocating and working herds in cow pens to vaccinate/deworm/weigh/ear tag/ etc.. In the calving season, an agricultural assistant would have to look out for cows having trouble with labor, and pull and revive calves if necessary in a cattle chute. Other responsibilities are repairing fence, pressure washing cattle pens and other equipment, and operating tractors and it’s implements.
