The Resende lab is searching for highly motivated undergraduate research assistants to contribute to their summer field season. The assistants will aid in research characterizing many marketable traits, disease resistance and nitrogen use efficiency in sweet corn as well as making specific pollinations in the sweet corn materials present in the field.
The position will be mostly in the field, so a high tolerance for exposure to sun, heat, high humidity and pollen is desirable. We would like someone that is available at least 30 hours/week with an expect pay of $12/hr. The work load will be heavy during the months of May and June and then begin to phase out starting in July. If interested, please send your resume listing relevant course work and experience as well as a statement of interest to Kristen Leach, leachk@ufl.edu.
