The USDA-Agricultural Research
Service (ARS) Hydraulic Engineering Research Unit in Stillwater, OK is seeking
a hardworking, dedicated, talented engineer to fill a GS-9 Ag. Engineering (or

The individual filling this position will have the
opportunity to work on multi-agency projects along with university
collaborators to meet the needs our stakeholders. Projects range from
using and exploring state of the art technology (instrumentation and automation)
to monitor and inspect dams; developing standardization plan for field data
collection for dams, developing new, updating and/or refining design documents
and engineering tools; and developing curriculum for various engineering tools
and design guidance. Plus, the individual will work at an USDA-ARS
facility that has been recognized not once but twice as a Historic Landmark of
the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers.
Stillwater has a small town atmosphere with extra amenities
(sports, shopping, recreational walking trails and lakes, etc.). It has
an excellent school system and a friendly, welcoming community. It is
home to Oklahoma State University and the National Wrestling Hall of
Fame. Stillwater Regional Airport is serviced by American Airlines with
daily direct flights to Dallas-Ft. Worth. Stillwater is located just one
hour north to northeast of Oklahoma City and one hour southwest of Tulsa with
Oklahoma City and Tulsa being home of the state’s two international airports.
