Conducting training in various safety and emergency response subject areas is a primary function of the role, which includes preparing the training material and delivering group presentations. Evaluating job hazards and determining safe methods to complete job tasks are also key functions. Successful candidates will be self-motivated, detail oriented and capable of independent work with minimum supervision. Leadership, problem solving, and effective training skills are required, as well as clear verbal and written communication. This role requires frequent work in teams, and with all levels of associates. Other requirements include the capability to prioritize tasks, plan events, effectively manage time, and meet deadlines.
Must have experience with OSHA safety regulations. Familiarity with NFPA and chemical industry standards will be needed, as well as computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations. Industrial Hygiene/Industrial Safety experience a plus.
