Submit your ideas now through March 1!
Imagine this: You're in the Reitz Union food court, just finishing your lunch. You see three bins: Compost, Recycling, and Landfill. How do you know which items go where? That's exactly the challenge that we're looking for YOUR help to solve!
This year's Pepsi Refresh Challenge will focus exclusively on ideas to help educate Reitz Union patrons on how to properly sort their waste, and why it's so important. Visit http://www.bsd.ufl.edu/G1C/zerowaste/Submit.aspx for more info on how you can submit your ideas to help make the campus a more sustainable place to learn, live, work and grow.
This is where you come in! Propose a behavior change solution that will effectively educate Reitz Union patrons on the importance and process of proper waste sorting and you could win!
Submissions will be vetted internally for feasibility and cost, and the top projects will be presented for public voting.
The winning idea will be funded and implemented through a grant from the Pepsi Refresh Challenge. Winners may receive additional prize(s) furnished by Pepsi Bottling Co.
Submissions can be made by individuals or groups/organizations until March 1 at http://www.bsd.ufl.edu/G1C/zerowaste/.
