Engineer I - Water Use and Environmental Resource Permitting
This is entry-level work responsible for implementation of the water use and environmental resource permitting programs under parts II and IV of 373, Florida Statutes, and Chapters 40B-2 and 40B-4, Florida Administrative Code. Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following
Qualifications
Minimum - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in environmental, civil, hydraulic, agricultural or water resource engineering. Has successfully passed the Engineering In Training (EIT) exam.

The Statistician position is housed within the Water Supply Division under the direct supervision of the Water Supply Division Director.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in statistics. A bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, geology, hydrology, hydrogeology, biology, limnology or related field with significant academic or other training in statistics will also be considered.
Special Requirements
The following skills and experience are a plus: * Dynamic regression (transfer-function) methods of time-series analysis * Artificial neural networking methods * Object-oriented computer programming using the Python language and associated data analysis packages * ArcGIS, including familiarity with writing Python programs that call ArcGIS functions * Working with remote-sensing datasets * Matlab (or open-source equivalents) * Relational databases and SQL programming
