IFAS is now making plans to employ summer interns for UF/IFAS Extension. This year we will focus on proposals that demonstrate impact on one or more “super issues” and “high-priority initiatives” found in the UF/IFAS Extension Roadmap. Please see a copy of the Roadmap at this address: http://extadmin.ifas.ufl.edu/roadmap.shtml . Students will work 40 hours a week for 8 weeks and will be paid $14 per hour. Interns are only placed in counties that submit a proposal to host them.
The purposes of the program are to expose students to career possibilities in Extension and to provide support to Extension agents and the communities they serve.
Student applications are also due February 24th. After reviewing the applications we will match the appropriate student, program area and county. It is not likely that more than one student will be assigned to any county. Please visit our internship Web site for more information at http://extadmin.ifas.ufl.edu/intern.shtml.
Scholarships, awards, internships, meetings and other opportunities for BE and AOM students in the UF-ABE Department.
