Finca Manager Position at Ferris Farms: 1/1/17
This position is responsible for the overall care and maintenance of several Commercial and residential properties, horses and stable.
This management position reports to the General Manager and supervises 2-3 workers and a housekeeper. Finca Manager also communicates with the General Manager and owners regarding their specific requests, ongoing maintenance operations and preparation for family or guest visits.
Primary duties include:
● Ensuring the proper maintenance of the properties, including exterior landscape, interior systems such as HVAC and lighting controls, and interior and exterior cleaning and minor repairs.
● Taking care of several horses to ensure their health and well-being. Must maintain barn, tack, stable and garden area, planting and maintaining vegetable garden.
● Care of herd of 50 cattle, including feeding, assisting with calving operations, vet care and pasture maintenance.
● Greeting guests upon arrival and ensuring their comfort and entertainment while they are visiting the property. This could include scheduling boating, canoeing, or horseback riding for guests and providing information on local attractions and activities.
● Record keeping for the operation including daily log, and landscape fertilizer and chemical use information.
● Performs other duties as directed by the General Manager.
