MASTER OF SCIENCE IN MANAGEMENT

Packaging Club GBM - 8/29 at 6:30PM

Come out to the first Packaging Club general body meeting of the semester- Thursday, August 29th at 6:30PM in Frazier Rogers Hall room 122.

See what all the packaging club has to offer. We will talk about potential guest speakers from different industries in packaging, current packaging trends, design competition highlights, upcoming socials and company visits, and the annual PACK EXPO, a professional conference which showcases packaging innovation from different exhibitors. On top of that, we will end the meeting with an egg drop challenge!

Apply to Be a UF/IFAS Extension Intern

Students participating in this paid internship during summer 2020 will work with county UF/IFAS Extension faculty to deliver educational programming throughout Florida. Together with the local UF/IFAS Extension faculty, students will work in one or more of these program areas:
  • agricultural and horticultural enterprises
  • water resources
  • natural resources and environmental quality
  • individual and family development
  • community resources and economic development
  • 4-H Youth Development 
In the spring of 2020, selected students will be required to take a 1-credit hour class to prepare for the internship.

Apply for the summer 2020 internships by October 11.

Water Supply and Treatment in Low Resource Settings-Summer Study Abroad


This is a study abroad course in Guanajuato, Mexico, offered through NC State University but open to qualified students from any US college or university.

It will take place over "Maymester," May 16 - June 3, 2020. The application window will open in mid-September and close when an enrollment of 10-12 students is reached.

Students must apply through NCSU Office of Study Abroad and be accepted into the course. If you are interested, please complete this short Google Form.

AOM Club - General Body Meeting 9/11/19

Students, join the AOM Club (Agricultural Operations Management) for the first General Body Meeting of the Fall semester. All AOM students are encouraged to attend.

If you are new to the AOM program this is a great way to get to know other students in your major. Plus there will be free pizza!

Food Week 9/9 thru 9/13

Do you like food? Are you curious about food product development? Interested in Food & beverage processing? Food engineering & brewing sciences? Concerned about Food Safety & regulation? Are you interested in applying biology, chemistry, and engineering skills to study the nature of food? Check out the exciting world of FOOD SCIENCE with our upcoming FOOD WEEK. Hosted by the Food Science & Human Nutrition Department, activities will be held from September 9 – September 13 and include movies, beverage samples & demonstrations, and a FSHN MasterChef Competition.

Compete in the FSHN Master Chef Competition! Are you creative in the kitchen? Can you demonstrate your superb cooking skills under pressure? Tell us WHY you deserve the FSHN MasterChef title – and then prove it! Create a 30 to 60 second video, sharing why you should be the next FSHN MasterChef. Submit your video to fshnadvising@ifas.ufl.edu by 11:59 PM on Thursday, September 5th. If selected, you will compete in the next FSHN MasterChef competition on Thursday, September 12 from 2 PM – 5 PM in the FSN Building (Pilot Plant).
