2018 UF/IFAS NCBS WoW – Workout on the Waterfront Event

The 2018 UF/IFAS NCBS WoW – Workout on the Waterfront is scheduled for Saturday, February 24, 2018 in Cedar Key, Florida. This event consists of a 5-k run, a kayak race and a Repurpose-it-Regatta as well as a silent auction and lunch. Funds raised will support the UF/IFAS NCBS Aquarium and the 2018 International Coastal Clean-up Event.

We would like to encourage departments to enter the Regatta event with a departmental boat. The winning IFAS regatta team will win a trip for their department to Seahorse Key for a day!

UAS7 Study and Internship Programs - Germany. Deadline Feb. 15, 2018

The UAS7 Study and Internship Programs (SIP+) is an excellent opportunity for students who would like to spend a semester and/or internship in Germany in 2018/19.

Successful applicants will be able to study one semester at one of the UAS7 member universities (SP), receive a short-term placement at one of the university laboratories (IP), or spend a whole year in Germany to study and intern (SIP). Our programs are open to students in a wide range of applied fields.

Applicants to all three program options (SIP/SP/IP) are automatically considered for the UAS7 Travel Scholarship of EUR 1000 to cover transatlantic travel expenses. Our office in New York is available to help navigating our diverse program options and will be happy to advise students during the application process.

NSF REU Entrepreneurial Research Experience - Now Open!



Applications are now being accepted for Year 2 of our Entrepreneurial Research Experience for Undergraduates that will happen in the Summer 2018!  The aim of this E-REU is to provide students with a truly integrated research and entrepreneurship training experience, giving them both depth in fundamental engineering research, as well as breadth in entrepreneurial skills. Activity within ERCs lies at the interface between the discovery-driven culture of science and the innovation-driven culture of engineering.
