A hydroponic farm, located in Fort Lauderdale which grow herbs, lettuces and tomatoes is seeking to fill a Grower position. This is
"hands-on" work with the full responsibility for growing and packing
produce, maintaining the greenhouses and water treatment (R.O.) plant and
supervising a team of 10 people.
Requires an intelligent and hardworking individual with leadership skills. This
is not a "lab coat" environment. Most of the workday will be spent
doing manual labor and working in greenhouses that are quite hot during the
summer. The drive to
produce the maximum amount of the best looking product is imperative. So
is a personality that is always looking for a better, more effective way of
doing things and collaborating with other growers around the world to combat
insect, fungal and other problems facing all of us.
Initial pay will be around $30,000, based on
experience, with a lot of upside based on performance.
