UF Writing Studio available to students


Students, the  UF Writing Studio is still open, and is providing live, online, individual tutoring for all UF students, working on all writing projects.   Please go to tutortrac.clas.ufl.edu to see our schedule and make an appointment; we are open M-F from 10:00 – 4:00, and M-R evenings from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.   If you have any questions, please contact Dr. Martin Simpson at simpsonm@ufl.edu

Webinar-The Green Program-Planning for Natural Disasters.

This event is free to RSVP and is online so students can tune in from anywhere. 

In our upcoming session, we will be sitting down with GREEN Industry Mentor, Janessa I, Americorps FEMA graduate. Janessa will discuss her experience within federal programming for risk management and emergency response and state-level work with the Utah Department of Human Services, and her drive to expand her understanding in the emergency response field by traveling to Nepal with TGP to learn about their response to their 2015 earthquake.

Entries open for the 2020 International Student Food Packaging Development Competition


There is a new Annual International Student Food Packaging Development Competition launched by the IFT Food Packaging Division. This competition honors advancements in student food packaging development. Students are challenged with developing a packaging innovation to solve one of several pressing challenges facing the global food system. Students can participate individually or as part of a team. All participants must be enrolled in food and packaging programs.
