Packaging Engineer position - Clemens Food Group

Position Overview: The Packaging Engineer is an integral position at the Clemens Food Group. The Packaging Engineer develops, designs, tests, and implements packaging materials that are part of the products that are produced, as well as developing processes the also produce the products. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the Packaging Engineer will be directly involved with Operations to troubleshoot issues, identify opportunities, and solve challenges. The position will work with internal and external resources to bring innovation and cost savings to the organization, and act as the SME for packaging in Clemens Food Group. In addition, they will also lead sustainability projects to reduce waste from packaging materials, working with internal and external resources to set goals and achieve measurable success.

 The SFFGS Academic Advising team is now hiring a Federal Work Study student assistant – work to begin in Summer or Fall 2021.  Remote work location acceptable.

  • Job Description– Work with SFFGS Academic Advisors to update degree audits, respond to emails, name and file electronic paperwork, type letters for petitions, register students in SFFGS courses, and any other computer-related or additional tasks needed to complete.
  • Hourly Rate  – $10
  • Hours Per Week – 10-15 (up to 20, depending on seasonal workload); Flexible schedule
  • Required Qualifications – FWS eligible only; Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, typing, digital file storage/maintenance
  • Preferred Qualifications – Experience using MailChimp and/or Adobe CS (Photoshop, InDesign, etc.)
  • Confidentiality with student records is vital – FERPA Training required before any work may begin

ABE Robotics Team wins ASABE award!

 Congratulations to the ABE Robotics Team which won the 'Best Written Report Award' for ASABE.

The members of the team are Bryce Askey, Congliang Zhou, Robert Herring, Xue Zhou, Ruoyao Qin, Songzi Wu and Chi Zhang. The team’s advisors are Dr. Ampatzidis and Dr. Lee.
