STEM Mentoring Program

Are you a second- or third-year student pursuing Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) careers? Do you identify as an underrepresented student? Are you interested in professional development and mentoring?

If so, Gator Launch might be a good fit for you. This program will provide you the chance to work with a mentor in your field and participate in activities to enhance your professional skills.

Starting Fall 2012, you will participate in:

  • participate in monthly professional development seminars
  • meet with your career mentor every other month
  • Job shadow a mentor in your career field of interest
  • Work on a project related to your professional interests

The term “underrepresented” includes gender, economic status, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity and any other identities that are not well represented in STEM fields.
