2018-2019 Attributes of a Gator Engineer Student Recognition Awards - Nominations Open

The Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering is pleased to announce the opening of nominations for the 2018-2019 Attributes of a Gator Engineer Student Recognition Awards, which showcases five undergraduate and five Ph.D. students who have strongly modeled one of the five Gator Engineering Attributes: Creativity, Leadership, Integrity, Professional Excellence, and Service to the Global Community.

This year's recipients will be officially recognized during our Faculty and Student Awards Luncheon on Friday, April 27, 2018. All recipients should ideally be able to attend the event.

The window to submit nominations is Thursday, January 25 - Friday, February 23, 2018 (5:00 PM). Any UF faculty or staff member may nominate a Gator Engineering student, and any UF student may nominate a Gator Engineering student. Anyone may nominate more than one student. Please take special care in reading the instructions attached.

To submit a nomination, please complete the online nomination form by clicking here. The online nomination requires the following: 1) the completed nomination form with the requested information, 2) a letter providing compelling evidence of how this student has strongly exhibited the attribute in question and is qualified to represent this attribute for the upcoming year (please include specific examples.), and 3) the nominee's resume or curriculum vitae.

The recipients will be notified by the last week of March or soon thereafter.

Note...if you feel you qualify for one of these awards, please see Dr. Leary to discuss why you meet the criteria. Sometimes we don't know about your external activities and would love to see our students nominated for these awards!
