St. Johns River Water Management District Internship opportunity

Job Summary: This is a paid internship program. Intern will perform review of small project permit applications. Additionally, after the engineer intern learns how to perform as-built inspections, the intern will complete as-built inspections for small projects. The intern will also learn to use the e-Reg system for documentation of activities related to compliance and application review. They will accompany staff on site visits to understand how site conditions affect the design of a stormwater management system.

Minimum Qualifications:
A college or university student currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program and either attending classes or participating in a work experience program sanctioned by the individual school; at least a junior level (senior level preferred) studying in the areas of agricultural, civil, or environmental engineering.

All students must maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher.

Additional Details:
Internship will run for a period of 13 weeks. The work is 20-hours per week. Availability and schedules will be discussed when contacted for an interview.

Intern will produce a report/presentation to highlight accomplishments.

Salary: $12.00/hour

Work Location: Negotiable (Maitland, Palatka or Palm Bay)
