Mayo Fertilizer, Inc. is a fertilizer wholesaler/retailer, chemical & seed retailer, and full service agri-center based in North Florida. Our home office is located in Mayo, FL along with our other facilities in Lake City, Lee, & Manatee, FL and Brunswick, GA. Mayo Fertilizer, Inc. has been part of the agriculture community since 1957 and was permanently established in 1975.
Position Description: We are looking for an intern to work at our Lake City, FL location and possibly some at the Mayo, FL location during the summer semester. This intern can expect to learn about row crop production, ag chemicals, fertilizer sales and logistics, credit and finance, and basic agronomics. This person should be highly motivated and receptive to learning. Internships can lead to full time positions within the company.
Requirements: Majoring in some form of agricultural degree program and a valid driver’s license. Position also requires physical exertion and working outdoors roughly 60% of the time.
Compensation: Pay will be based on the applicant’s level of experience.
