The DHS HS-STEM Summer Internship Program

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Directorate sponsors a 10-week summer internship program for students majoring in homeland security related science, technology, engineering and mathematics (HS-STEM) Disciplines. The program provides students with quality research experiences at federal research facilities located across the country and allows students the opportunity to establish connections with DHS professionals. It is open to undergraduate and graduate students in a broad spectrum of HS-STEM Disciplines and DHS mission-relevant Research Areas. The ultimate goal of the program is to engage a diverse, educated and skilled pool of scientists and engineers in HS-STEM areas and to promote long-term relationships between students, researchers, DHS and research facilities to enhance the HS-STEM workforce. http://www.orau.gov/dhseducation/internships/index.html

Applications and supporting materials must be submitted by the application deadline through the Online Application System. Begin the application process by registering in the Online Application System. Once registered and logged in, your profile home page will be displayed. From there, complete and release the profile or browse available projects. Note that profiles must be completed and released before projects can be added to the application.
