For top applicants, this prestigious fellowship offers a $30,000 stipend toward completion of a master's degree program at a Woodrow Wilson partner institution in Georgia, Indiana, or New Jersey. Fellows undergo a year-long clinical experience in a high-need school, along with rigorous subject matter courses, then commit to teach for three years in urban or rural secondary schools, with mentoring throughout the entire process.
Woodrow Wilson Fellows are immersed into the role of teaching early in
the program. Fellows begin co-teaching in a high-need school from day
one of the fall semester to the end of the academic year. A licensed
teacher and Woodrow Wilson fellow work collaboratively sharing
responsibilities for co-planning, designing curriculum, formal and
informal assessments, and teaching which benefits students in the STEM
classroom.
The 2015 Woodrow Wilson Teaching Fellowship program application deadline is January 31, 2015. For more information, please visit http://woodrow.org/teach. You can also download a poster for the Woodrow Wilson Teaching Fellowship.
