PROS Interpretive Nature Coordinator

The PROS Interpretive Nature Coordinator must be passionate about the mission, the department, and eager to transform the community through place making, health and wellness, and conservation. The successful candidate will create and forge conservation partnerships with the community and government, increase youth engagement and volunteer participation in conservation and stewardship practices, and will serve as guide in the creation of a system of natural heritage areas (ecozones and ecohubs) that promote sustainable communities. The position will be responsible for coordinating the department’s interpretive naturalist program, managing specific nature centers/parks, and developing and implementing County-wide ecotourism programming.

Minimum Salary: $51,778.48 – Maximum Salary: $87,108.58

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree. Two years of professional or supervisory experience in developing, directing and conducting interpretive nature programs or environment protection programs to include program evaluation and monitoring are required.

The ideal candidate must have budget preparation, expenditure monitoring and marketing skills. Additional related experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis, to a maximum of two years. Must possess a Driver license.
