Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities

UF Habitat for Humanity is always looking for new volunteers to build homes, renovate community centers, fundraise, or help with social events. No experience necessary. To hear more about us and our meeting times like us on Facebook at UF Habitat for Humanity or email blakeh@ufhabitat.org.

Head over to Volunteer Select, a new way to form connections between individuals and non-profits in an effort to enhance community involvement and eradicate poverty.We encourage non-profit organizations to register with Volunteer Select. Organizations are able to post their volunteer needs and events.

Volunteers can also register to stay up to date with new opportunities!

Volunteer Select is a collaboration between the United Way of North Central Florida and Center for Leadership and Service at the Universty of Florida and the Office for Civic Engagement & Service at Santa Fe College.

Volunteer Opportunities

Collegiate Challenge - Collegiate Challenge is an alternative Spring Break trip with Habitat for Humanity. UF Habitat has organized close to thirteen trips in the last four years, and we will have several more during this upcoming Spring Break. Deadline to apply is February 1. Volunteer Training for CDS Interface Youth Shelter - CDS Interface Youth Shelter will be holding new volunteer training on February 2 (1-6) and February 3 (7-9). To sign up, email your name and phone number to Radha_selvester@cdsfl.org. Ask your advisor about receiving credit for your volunteer hours (FYCS, Psychology, etc).

Volunteer with Alachua County Humane Society - Alachua County Humane Society needs help in their thrift shop! Interested volunteers can contact Sarah MacLennan at 352-373-5855 xt.706 or by email at volunteer@alachuahumane.org.

Field and Fork Pantry - The Field and Fork Pantry is open and serving the UF community members in need. For a list of desired donations, please contact fieldandfork@ufl.edu.
 
Fellowships, Internships and Scholarships
Intern with the Sadie Nash Leadership Project - The Sadie Nash Leadership Project is currently accepting applications for it's Dean Leadership Training Program. Deans are college-aged women who are leaders, movers and shakers, and role models on their campuses and in their communities. For more information please visit the Dean Leadership Training Program. Applications are due February 21.
