Ecuador is home to several ABE alumni, faculty and students. Thankfully their family and friends are OK; however, thousands of people have lost everything. Thousands are wounded and hundreds people are dead. Sadly this number is going to increase drastically as the days go by especially in the smaller towns along the coast.
Cesar Moreira (also from Ecuador) and former ABE PhD student is visiting Gainesville until Friday. He is going to deliver some contribution to the embassy of Ecuador in Miami. Therefore, I am asking for your help. Please if you have any old clothes, shoes, nonperishable food, batteries, candles, first aid kits.
A collection center will be located in the break room downstairs
If you have any question, please feel free to contact me or contact Cesar Moreira - cmoreirav@gmail.com
