Florida Alternative Breaks Trips Announced!
An annual tradition for so many University of Florida students, Florida Alternative Breaks, or FAB, is a University of Florida student-led organization that sends out service-learning trips based on specific social issues during academic breaks. We believe education, strong direct service, and reflection are among several key components that set the FAB experience apart in terms of growth and impact, both for our participants and the communities we serve.

FAB strives to create a society of active citizens by encouraging the alternative break movement. Each trip places an emphasis on education, service, and reflection in order to maximize the impact of the alternative break experience. FAB is just a piece of the national social movement of Alternative Breakers. Break Away is a non-profit organization that supports Alternative Break Programs by providing training, networking opportunities, and support. Break Away's mission is to train, assist, and connect campuses and communities in promoting quality alternative break programs that inspire lifelong active citizenship.

Come to the BCLS to learn more about our trips and to put down your deposit for one of the Winter, MLK Weekend, or Spring Break trips!
