Freshman and Sophomore Engineering Students Emerging Scholars Program

The UF Center for Undergraduate Research will continue with the second year of the Emerging Scholars Program. The program entails two semesters of undergraduate research for Freshman or Sophomores who have not participated in research, including in high school. Selected students will participate Spring 2017 and Summer or Fall 2017. Students receive a $1,000 stipend at the end of the second semester of participation. Our College will co-fund some students; however HWCOE faculty have the option of selecting as many additional students as they like provided they pay the full $1,000 stipend for each student. I encourage you to reach out to our faculty and apply if you have interest.
