Gator Global Initiative Conference 2015


 
The University of Florida Center for Leadership and Service is excited to announce the return of the fall semester Gator Global Initiative Conference!

Turning Passion Into Action
Gator Global Initiative conference
November 13-14th, 2015

Gator Global Initiative is a social justice conference designed to educate students and student organizations about social issues. Students will also have the opportunity to develop goals and projects to create change locally, nationally, and globally. At GGI, you will hear from speakers and experts in the fields of Human Rights, Environmental Sustainability, Peace Building & Conflict Resolution, Health Disparities. GGI also includes skill sessions to help you focus your passions, learn how to partner with Non-profits, and ultimately learn how to turn your ideas into reality.

This year's keynote speaker is Jacob Atem, a Ph.D. candidate in health services research and management and policy at the University of Florida. Atem is a former Lost Boy of Sudan. His TEDxUF is a wonderful introduction Atem and his work.

The cost of the conference is $25 (non-refundable) and must be paid when you submit your application. The conference registration fee provides for meals, materials, and a t-shirt.
