South Dakota State University is accepting applications for the Summer 2018 USDA-NIFA undergraduate research fellowship program (May 29 – August 3). Our USDA-NIFA undergraduate research fellowship is an opportunity to make a difference in sustainable energy, water resources, natural resources, and the environment. The projects our research fellows conduct continue on after they leave because they have real-world impact. We are proud to offer this fellowship experience to a select few students who will work side by side with leading researchers at SDSU. Fellows receive a $5,000 stipend plus up to $350 for travel expenses. Lodging is provided.
Students have the chance to work with excellent SDSU faculty mentors from six departments:
· Agricultural & Biosystems Engineering
· Agronomy, Horticulture & Plant Science
· Biology & Microbiology
· Chemistry & Biochemistry
· Civil Engineering
· Electrical Engineering
